Hi everyone,

 

I want to share that Rise & Shine will be going through a transitionary period & beginning 2/4 open play will be put on pause while I navigate selling or closing the playroom. This decision was not made lightly, but it has become more and more clear to me that it’s important I put my family first in this season of life.

 

People are constantly asking me, “How do you do it?” “How do you run a business with 4 little kids at home?” And if you want my honest answer - not well.

 

I knew when I started this dream that it would take up a big part of me. But I can’t say I knew exactly how much it would take away from them.

 

When my kids are talking to me, I am thinking about what needs to be done on the work front. When my kids ask me to play, I say I can’t. When my kids have field trips, school performances or soccer games, I’m not there.

 

Pulling back as momentum is building up is incredibly difficult, but the hardest part is disappointing the RAS community. Letting down the families who have shown up week after week. The ones who spread the word to everyone they know. The ones who have become Rise & Shine’s biggest cheerleaders. And the guests who have become friends ❤️ disappointing you guys is absolutely the hardest part.

 

So what are the next steps? 

 

We will continue our normally scheduled open play through Wednesday, February 4th.

 

Beyond February 4th we will focus on birthday parties and special toddler events (be on the lookout for a RAS x Jade & Ray Valentine’s Day tea!)

 

Members and class pack holders, you will have an email in your inbox very shortly!

 

Gift card holders, we’d love to have you join us for some play in the next few weeks! Otherwise please send an email and we will get things sorted.

 

All booked birthday parties will happen just as planned and event bookings are currently open through March 2026. The space will be *exactly* as it is now and will continue to give you the perfectly fun and intimate party.

 

Ideally I will sell Rise & Shine, so we can keep this little space in the community.

 

If there is someone out there who has the time, energy, and heart to pour into this space I would truly love to connect.

While I am personally choosing to be more present where I’m needed most, I hope this isn’t the end of the road for Rise & Shine.
