Rise & Shine Play was founded by a local Point Loma mom who saw a need for a space dedicated to young families. A haven where playing, climbing and loud squeals are not only welcomed, but celebrated. Both you and your child will find yourselves surrounded by peers - children looking to explore and learn and caregivers looking to connect and recharge.

Hi San Diego!
We are Molly and Marissa, the new owners of the indoor play space, Rise & Shine Play.
We found Rise and Shine as new moms looking for somewhere our 1 year olds could play safely. A calm space where we weren't constantly worried about big kids running them over, or them turning a corner we couldn't see. All while still being able to talk to each other! It's why we loved coming to Rise and Shine and why we chose to keep it going. We want other caretakers to experience Rise and Shine and all it has to offer!

A little about Molly – I'm a former New Yorker who moved to San Diego 10 years ago with my husband Danny and never looked back. After business school and a wild ride into stay-at-home motherhood, I somehow found my way here. My son Miles is 22 months and a total charmer. He will flirt with every adult that walks into Rise and Shine! We also have a 14 year old dog, Lola, and 2 chaotic cats, Peaches and Ernie (yes, Marissa and I have babies the same age, the same group of pets, and live down the hall - there's a reason we are inseparable 😆). Sunshine, natural light, a half sweet iced oat latte and/or an up margarita no salt are my love language 😋
A little about Marissa – I am a Pastry Chef turned stay at home mom. I’ve absolutely loved motherhood and the friends that Charlotte and I have made the last year and a half! are expecting a baby boy the beginning of May and so excited! Charlotte is currently 20 months old and is so excited to learn about the world AND tell you everything she knows about it 😂 We also have 3 fur babies. 2 cats (Rosie and Ollie) and 1 dog (Cali). I am definitely a coffee person and am excited to have a great latte daily with all our new friends at Rise and Shine!
